Life is like a box of precious jewels, coarse stones, glass shards, pebbles, and sand. To open the box and look through it is to find great variety⏤some things beautiful and pleasant to look at and to handle, others plain, some potential harmful. To acknowledge that the glass and stones exist, but to search for the jewels regardless is to make a powerful choice. Life is an experiment, an adventure, a journey. What you search for, you will most certainly find. If you don’t like what you are finding, consider changing your focus to look for something different.

Choice is the most impactful superpower humans possess. It’s an incomprehensibly powerful tool disguised as a simple decision. Choice is looking at thoughts, feelings, and actions as potential forks in the road of the story of your life. You can choose to have a thought, feel a feeling, or take an action⏤or discard a thought, release a feeling, or forgo an action. Choice is the dividing line between impulsive reaction and deliberate action. The power is in the pause.
