Telling the truth and taking chances are key ingredients to a life of satisfaction.

This game has probably been around since antiquity and is usually played with a group of friends. Here’s an “adult” version of the game adapted to be played completely on your own. If you are brave enough, you could invite others to play with you, however, these questions and dares obviously won’t work for everyone (especially the happily married, lol), so just think of these as ideas and tweak the game, as needed, to suit your own needs.

Telling the Truth

  • Is there anyone you could easily help but you never do because you feel they don’t deserve it?
  • Do you hold any grudges that are so hardcore that you cross the street when you see that person coming?
  • Is there anyone you are completely cordial to but who, in truth, has completely lost your trust and is unlikely to ever gain it back?
  • Is there anyone who rightfully deserves an apology from you?
  • Have you ever taken something that wasn’t yours to take?
  • If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?
  • Have you ever lied to a police officer? On a resume? In the bedroom? Under oath? To a family member? On your taxes? In an interview? To get out of a situation? To get into a situation? To yourself?
  • Have you ever walked away from a responsibility and never looked back?
  • Are there things you have the power to change but not the courage to change?

Daring to Change

  • Track down the love of your life and tell them you never stopped loving them.
  • Apologize to someone who has been waiting years to hear that you are sorry.
  • Ask for a significant raise, more paid time off, or a different work arrangement.
  • Make it clear on your professional profile that you are in the market for a new job.
  • Give $100 to a complete stranger who you believe would benefit from it.
  • Walk up to the next person you find attractive and ask them out.
  • Say no to someone you never say no to.
  • Say yes to someone you never say yes to.
  • Submit a piece of your creative work to a publication or gallery.
  • Tell someone who hurt you deeply that they did so.
  • Eliminate a person from your life who doesn’t deserve to be in it.
  • Treat yourself to something extravagant.
  • Give someone who you closed your heart to a second chance.
